Top Trends from the 2023 PGA Show
Fresh off the convention floor in Orlando, these are among the hottest trends from the 2023 PGA Show.
Wearable Tech
One big trend in golf apparel this year is wearable technology and tech-integrated clothing. There were several exhibitors in Orlando that were showing off new high-tech garments that are poised to take golf’s love of gadgets to the next level.
G Tech Apparel, the high-tech clothing brand out of Florida, unveiled several new golf-focused pieces to compliment its iconic hand warmers. New outerwear like the Heated Hoodie X Sport 3.0 and Heated Vest will bring rapid and reliable personal heating wherever you go, perfect for those cold winter days when you just can’t stay off the course.
Another head-turner was Boomin’ Belts. The brand has created a patented bluetooth-enabled belt buckle speaker. Now golfers can approach the tee with their own walk up music playing.
A Focus on Quality, Performance and Comfort
Another trend worthy of attention is a renewed focus on durable, high-performance and comfortable garments. The team from Tilley Endurables — famous for its nearly indestructible, guaranteed-for-life hats — was on hand showcasing new golf apparel in classic styles, striking a harmonious balance between form and function.
New to the show this year, Castore Golf made a splash with its next-level performance sportswear. A wide range of scientifically engineered styles showcased the English company’s drive to develop the lightest, most efficient, highest performing sportswear in the golf market.
The innovations and new designs weren’t reserved just for outerwear — the Canadian company BN3TH (pronounced “beneath”) was also turning heads with its ultra-supportive and unbelievably comfortable baselayers and under garments. By providing golfers with a solid foundation of all-day comfort, BN3TH empowers golfers to an elevated performance.
New Audiences
And finally, a trend that we’re excitedly following is the growth of new and non-traditional golf audiences — products that speak to groups and people historically underserved and underrepresented by the golf industry. A shining example of this is the newly launched Buena Gente Golf, catering to the rapidly growing segment of Latino and minority golfers. With styles drawing from both contemporary and classic Latino culture, Buena Gente (“good people” in Spanish) is a vibrant celebration of the growing voices in the golf community—and we think they’re going to be one to watch very closely.
